Approach and Delivery

We are proud to be part of the project team for a new grain distillery to be built at St Boswells in the Scottish Borders, with the vision to be Scotland’s first carbon neutral grain whisky distillery. Jackson Distillers Limited will be a Scottish based producer of single grain whisky spirit and grain neutral spirit using 100% Scottish water and cereals of proven traceable origin.

Our Planning and Development Team has provided a full package of planning support to include ecology, air quality and noise, LVIA Visualisations and graphics. Whilst our Engineering Team provided utilities connection support, drainage and engineering services.

Project Outcomes

Planning consent was granted in 2021.

We continue to support Trevor Jackson, Chief Executive, with ecological surveys as well as net zero strategic planning and environmental licencing.
