Talk to us about this project
Email Me Call MeOur process engineers were commissioned to undertake a process review of Bowmore Distillery. A number of opportunities were identified in the heat recovery system.
We were retained for process design of the heat recovery alterations, including the management of contractors during equipment procurement and installation.
Our process engineers provided consultancy from identification through to solutions design, specification and engineering support during implementation.
The project commenced with a process review which identified inefficiencies within the heat recovery system at Bowmore Distillery with regards to both water and energy use. This was detailed within a concise memorandum report following some initial feasibility work on the project.
Given the company priority to reduce water consumption we were retained to undertake the process design to include the safety studies for the proposed alterations to the system which included closing the cooling loop and introducing control to several of the heat users within the system.
Our process engineers delivered the process design of the heat recovery alterations, including the management of contractors during equipment procurement and installation.
We also provided as built documentation following the successful commissioning of the plant.
