COSHH – Monitoring and LEV Testing November Seminar
19th October 2016
Health & Safety Clinic – COSHH – Monitoring and LEV Testing.
There are many reasons why managing indoor air quality in workplaces is inadequate, or missing completely. Issues can include a lack of understanding of the risk of exposure to hazardous substances, difficulties in managing contaminants and lack of knowledge in the design of engineering controls (e.g. LEV).
CeeD, in partnership with Mabbett, are running a Health & Safety Clinic on 16th November 2016 between 1:30pm – 4:00pm in the Heriot Watt University, Riccarton Campus, Edinburgh.
At this seminar, Mabbett’s Ross Ramsey (Manager – Mechanical & Electrical Engineering) and Omar Khalid, (Manager – Health & Safety) shall be discussing “The Control of Airborne Contaminants at Work – Understanding Requirements Under Regulations 9 and 10 of COSHH.”
Why attend?
This seminar will assist you to understand your responsibilities and show you how to identify and implement effective controls. Experts with experience of Occupational Hygiene and LEV design will be on hand. Subjects for discussion will include:
- Effective occupational Hygiene/Monitoring.
- Health Surveillance under COSHH.
- Developing and managing your engineering controls (e.g. LEV).
- Relationship to other Environmental, Health & Safety requirements (e.g. environmental permitting).
