Our engineers can assist with identification of the most appropriate solvent emissions compliance strategy, completion of a solvent mass balance and selection of abatement plant.

The Solvent Emissions Directive (SED) is established to prevent or reduce the direct and indirect effects of emissions of volatile organic compounds into the environment.

Solvent-using processes have two principal routes to compliance with their permits:

  • Compliance with Emission Limit Values, which can typically only be achieved with the use of solvent capture and abatement plant; and
  • Compliance with a Reduction Scheme approach.

Our engineers can assist with identification of the most appropriate solvent emissions compliance strategy, completion of a solvent mass balance and selection of abatement plant.
